Stop Underliving
“Bunmi, as you cross into your jubilee, stop underliving!”
Three months before my 50th birthday, as I reflected on God’s faithfulness and the deeds of His hands in my life, I heard this whisper with unmistakable clarity. When God draws my ear, I listen; and I knew immediately: a new season was calling me; a season of visibility, influence, and full alignment with my mandate.
A Life Half-Lived
For 50 years, I have underlived. I poured myself into the missionary life; serving; leading; mentoring; giving. That part of my life has been fruitful.
Yet in other areas, I held back. I under-invested in myself; I underplayed my potential; I underrepresented the fullness of what God had placed in me.
Underliving is not just about doing less; it is about shrinking from your full purpose.
Give to Gain: A Challenge
It is time to stop underliving.
Give up little-mindedness; the doubts; fears; and limitations that shrink your influence;
Give up hesitation; stop waiting for perfect timing or permission from others;
Give up playing small; the world needs your voice; your solutions; your leadership;
There is a seat in the boardroom waiting for you; not tomorrow; not when someone else approves; but now.
A Village Woman With a Global Mandate
I am a village woman with a global mandate. I live in a border community; yet my voice and influence reach nations. I am a proud missionary wife; yet I know that assignment is multi-dimensional.
Location does not limit mandate;
Background does not cancel destiny;
Visibility is not vanity; it is stewardship.
